ONE atomweight superstar and former ONE atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion, Stamp Fairtex, is on her way to becoming the most popular female Thai fighter of all time. The famed dancing assassin of made a successful US debut at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5th.
In front of a euphoric crowd at 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado, Stamp Fairtex folded Alyse Anderson with a crushing liver kick. The the American audience loved everything the flamboyant Thai superstar did, from her dance during her walkout to her fight-ending kicks.
Another person extremely impressed with Stamp Fairtex's performance was ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, who gave the 25-year-old a $50,000 performance bonus. Not only that, but the victory pushed Stamp a well-deserved shot at the ONE interim women's atomweight world title.
With reigning divisional queen Angela Lee taking some time away to work on personal family matters, ONE decided to crown an interim world champion in her absence. A bout was teased between Stamp Fairtex and South Korea's streaking Ham Seo Hee.
With Stamp on red-hot pursuit for gold and now riding a three-fight winning streak, it's safe to say that she has tremendous momentum leading to her second crack at MMA gold.
