ONE Championship fans are busy at work as they come up with a list of potential challengers for the newly-crowned ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Chingiz Allazov.

In last Friday’s main event at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, Allazov stunned the world with an upset TKO victory against the former defending world champion, Superbon Singha Mawynn.

With the crowning of the new king, ONE Championship is curious to know who could be next for Allazov. In typical Q&A fashion, along with an image of Marat Grigorian, Tawanchai PK.Saenchai, Jamal Yusupov, Regian Eersel, and a vacant box with the word “other” written below it, fans flocked to Instagram to get involved in the discussion.

Here’s what they had to say:

“I wanna see him vs Marat”
“Tawanchai vs Chingiz. Total clash of styles 🔥”
“Petrosyan pt.2.”
“Marat, Petro, or Sittichai rematches”
“Regian Eersel will be the one! 💯🔥”

Chingiz Allazov has set a big target on his back following a lopsided performance against one of the greatest pound-for-pound strikers on the planet. Sitting at No.2, Armenian kickboxer Marat Grigorian could very well be considered his next opponent.

They were originally slated to face each other at the ONE Featherweight World Grand Prix semifinals last year. However, Grigorian was forced to exit the tournament for testing positive for COVID-19. While a rematch with him or any other fighter in the top 5 would be a barnburner, Allazov has his heart set on fighting two-sport world champion Regian Eersel next.

Chingiz Allazov believes beating top strikers in the world is his greatest reward

Chingiz Allazov left the cirlcle with more money in his pocket than when he first entered the stage. After knocking out Superbon in the early offset of the second round, ONE CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong rewarded ‘Chinga’ with a well-deserved USD $50,000 bonus.

Discussing what it felt like to win a performance bonus to start the year, Allazov admitted that while it felt good to win some extra money, the biggest reward for him was to have fulfilled his long-time dream.

In the post-fight interview with SCMP MMA, the 29-year-old said:

“Sittichai, [a] four-five year pound for pound number one fighter - I beat him. I really have respect [for] this guy, same [for] Superbon, best of the best striker you know. He beat everyone, yes but I beat him, you know. Now fifty thousand, one hundred, two million, I don’t say about this. I say only, guys, thank you to [for] the fight.”
