Regian Eersel pulled off the perfect ending to his highly anticipated rematch against Sinsamut Klinmee, and in his opponent’s home nation no less.

The Surinamese star successfully defended the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title with a spectacular fourth-round knockout of Sinsamut that left the crowd inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in utter disbelief.

Eersel and Sinsamut traded bombs throughout the match, but the two-sport world champion’s pedigree showed its luster when he tagged the Thai star with a crisp left hook to the liver to close out the ONE Friday Fights 9 card.

It didn’t take long for Regian Eersel to find the opening in the fourth round. Sensing that Sinsamut was operating on fumes, ‘The Immortal’ sent a left hook that crashed on 'Aquaman's' solar plexus that finished the match 1:17 into the round.

The shot had so much impact that the Thai star had no chance of getting back on his feet.

Regian Eersel and Sinsamut Klinmee have already faced each other for the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title at ONE on Prime Video 3 with Eersel taking the close split decision win. The close finish to the bout was destined to cause a rematch, and the reigning world champion made sure that their second meeting left nothing to doubt.

The win pushed Eersel, who also owns the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title, to a perfect 9-0 record in ONE Championship. His knockout of Sinsamut also earned him a cool $50,000 bonus from ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

“Thank you Chatri Sityodtong, thank you ONE Championship once again for the opportunity to fight. This is my favorite organization you know.”
