Notably, Adesanya performed a dance routine to mark his emergence as a star and future champion before winning the UFC gold. 'The Last Stylebender' put on an amazing acrobatic dance display for his walkout at UFC 243 in Melbourne, Australia, before knocking out Robert Whittaker to become the undisputed middleweight champion.
Adesanya made his highly anticipated octagon return following a hiatus of one year in an attempt to become a three-time middleweight champion. The Nigerian-born Kiwi challenged Dricus du Plessis for UFC gold in the main event of UFC 305 but lost by submission in the fourth round.
With that, du Plessis became the first fighter to submit Adesanya in his professional MMA career.
Israel Adesanya gears up for his next fight
Israel Adesanya is currently on a two-fight losing streak, the most recent of which was at UFC 305 against Dricus du Plessis.
In a recent video uploaded on his YouTube channel, Adesanya was shown working out at High Performance Sport in New Zealand in preparation for his upcoming fight. In the video, Bill Smart provided an update on the former champion's condition, saying:
''We did Izzy's [Adesanya] testing last week. We got a pretty good gauge of where he's at currently in space and time. We're weighing up what does he need as an athlete based on his physical profile, what does he need based on the estimated 'timeframe' for a fight."
