"I'll give him (Jared Gordon) his due lad, he is one tough cookie and I like him so much. I didn't expect him to take that many shots off me and he did."

He added:

"I'm a little bit disappointed in me performance, but at the same time, I'm not. Because I went fifteen minutes, it's the first time I went fifteen minutes in the UFC and against someone who I know has the cardio to go fifteen hard minutes."

He also gave fans an update on his future fights. 'The Baddy' may not return to the Octagon for a few months as he injured his leg and his hand during the fight and had not yet had an MRI to determine the seriousness of the injury.

Paddy Pimblett reveals the reason why he believes he beat Jared Gordon at UFC 282

Paddy Pimblett seemed to know he was going to win even before the judges announced the decision. He raised his hand and shook his head victoriously just before Bruce Buffer announced the decision.

During the post-fight press conference, after taking a look at the reaction of the fans, who were calling it a 'robbery,' Pimblett revealed why he thinks he won the fight:

"Everyone has got an opinion lad, the opinions are [like] a**holes, you know what I mean? Everyone has got one. I know I won that fight... I won a unanimous decision, it's not even like it was a split decision. Look at his face and look at mine. Fights gets scored on damage now. I landed a lot more damage, end of... Control time means nothing when you don't do nothing with it."

According to Paddy Pimblett, he won the fight because of the damage he inflicted on his opponent. Per Pimblett, ground control time means nothing when a fighter is not able to use it to his advantage.
