Later this month, Paul Craig will be making a return to the octagon for the first time in six months when he faces Johnny Walker at UFC 283 in Brazil. During a recent interview, the Brit boldly claimed that he expects to win by knockout.

The South American light heavyweight is hoping to find his form again inside the cage, having lost in four of his last six outings. Last time out, the wild striker earned just his third-ever submission victory in the sport after locking up a rear-naked choke on the gritty Ion Cutelaba.

While discussing the upcoming clash in Brazil, Paul Craig announced his "newfound love" for striking and is hoping to showcase it come January 21 by finishing Johnny Walker on the feet.

"My submissions speak for itself. I've got some of the most submissions in light heavyweight, I think I'm up there with the most triangles in the division as well, so I've got all these submission records... I believe in this fight, I can end it anywhere. I believe in my standup. I've got this newfound love for standup and this newfound experience that I've never had before... What I believe is going to happen is this fight's going to end via strikes... I just believe in myself and I believe in my standup and I believe my right hand has got power."

Despite being a freak athlete, Johnny Walker doesn't have the best of chins and has often been in trouble when fighting high-level talent inside the cage, which opens up possibilities for the Scotsman.

Paul Craig vs. Johnny Walker and other big fights at UFC 283

Although it is a big fight in the light heavyweight division with potentially huge implications in the weight class, Paul Craig vs. Johnny Walker isn't scheduled for the main card slot.

Viewers watching the final portion of the event will get to see two titles on the line as Glover Teixeira takes on Jamahal Hill and Brandon Moreno looks to recapture the flyweight strap against Deiveson Figueiredo. Another electric affair on the card will see 'Shogun' Rua take on the much younger prospect Ihor Potieria and the return of the lovable Gregory Rodrigues, who faces Brad Tavares.
