Raul Rosas Jr. is set to make his UFC debut at 18 years of age. The bantamweight prodigy is set to face Jay Perrin just weeks after his 18th birthday on December 10.

The fight will take place at UFC 282 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. His opponent has two fights in the UFC and is looking to record his first-ever win.

Jay Perrin is a Massachusetts native who now fights out of Las Vegas, Nevada, and holds a professional MMA record of 10 wins and 6 losses. He made his MMA debut back in 2014 at the age of 21 for Combat Zone at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire. He won his first fight via unanimous decision. Since then, he has fought for a number of organizations.

He fought for NEF (New England Fights), Bellator, and Cage Titans before eventually making his way to the UFC. Out of the 6 losses of his career, two of them were in the UFC. He lost both of his first two fights by unanimous decision. He will look to turn his fortune around and beat young phenom Raul Rosas Jr. to secure his first win in the promotion.

Raul Rosas Jr. says he will become the youngest UFC champion

Raul Rosas Jr. first came into the limelight when he fought in Dana White's Contender Series (DWCS 55). The Mexican put on a dominant performance against the 25-year-old Mando Gutierrez. Following his win, Dana White was thoroughly impressed by the youngster and offered him a contract with the UFC. In his post-fight interview, Rosas Jr. made a bold statement:

"You know I'm just ready to fight every week, every month, I don't even care you know. I'm all gas no breaks you know. Like I said I'll rest when I'm retired, when I'm old. We're just getting started so there's no reason to take a break you know. And I know it won't be easy nothing is easy in this life but I will become the youngest UFC champion I don't care what it takes."

Raul Rosas Jr. believes he has what it takes to become the youngest UFC champion ever. That record is currently held by Jon Jones, who became a champion at the age of 23 with his victory over Maurício Rua. It will take something special for the youngster to climb the ranks and get a title shot before he turns 23.
