Regian Eersel was happy to fulfill his promise of showcasing "beautiful violence."
Last Friday's ONE Fight Night 25 main event featured a highly-anticipated lightweight kickboxing world title rematch. Previously undefeated Alexis Nicolas looked to earn more respect in ONE Championship by retaining his throne, while Eersel had an opportunity to avenge his April defeat.
Nicolas and Eersel battled for five rounds, with the latter emerging victorious by unanimous decision. The two-sport world champion participated in a post-fight interview with Nick Atkin and had this to say about his performance:
"Yes, I really enjoyed it. I told you I’m going to create beautiful violence, and I did. I hope you all enjoyed it."

What's next for Regian Eersel in ONE Championship?
Regian Eersel has the responsibility of defending his world title in the lightweight Muay Thai and kickboxing divisions. Firstly, 'The Immortal' could be featured in a must-see trilogy bout against Alexis Nicolas. The rematch was a decisive victory for Eersel, but since there was no finish, a third meeting could be inevitable.
Meanwhile, Eersel might defend his lightweight Muay Thai strap for the first time since June 2023. The most worthy title challenger would be a rematch against Eersel's last opponent in "The Art of Eight Limbs" - Dmitry Menshikov.
Eersel and Menshikov fought in the ONE Fight Night 11 main event, with the latter making his promotional debut. Things didn't go as planned for the Russian, as 'The Immortal' knocked him out in 46 seconds. Since then, Menshikov has bounced back with three consecutive knockouts, including two in the first round.
