ONE Championship newcomer Roberto Soldic is thrilled to be matched up against one of the most dangerous and competitive welterweights in the world, Murad Ramazanov.

The Croatian superstar will be making his highly anticipated debut on the main card of ONE on Prime Video 5: De Ridder vs. Malykhin, which is set to take place on Friday, December 2, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.

As a former KSW two-division champion, Roberto Soldic feels that ONE Championship landed his first matchup with the Dagestani warrior right on the nose. Stylistically, they’re both strong, all-encompassing MMA fighters whose wrestling and standup have been battle-tested throughout the years.

Speaking to The MMA Superfan, ‘Robocop’ listed some of the things he has to watch out for while at the same time welcoming the opportunity to prove himself against a fighter of his caliber:

“[He's a] good guy, with strong wrestling. But I see some kicks, he can also do stand-up. For wrestling, he has good hands too because he's been wrestling all his life. And then he hits hard also, all the time with the clinch and everything. So it's going to be a good fight for me too because I like dangerous opponents.”

Soldic will also be a tough competitor for Murad Ramazanov. The 27-year-old slugger is a prolific finisher with an outstanding record of 17 knockouts in 23 fights. ‘Robocop’ is particularly strong with his takedown defense, which will be crucial against Ramazanov, as he’ll try to fend off any potential takedown threats with speed and accuracy.

Christian Lee willing to give Roberto Soldic a shot at world title if he beats Murad Ramazanov

Nobody is more eager to see how Murad Ramazanov vs. Roberto Soldic will play out than Christian Lee. The newly-crowned two-division world champion captured the ONE welterweight world title in heroic fashion against Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE on Prime Video 4 last week. Naturally, he’s on the watch for potential rivals.

With Roberto Soldic heading into his first fight with the promotion, Lee is excited to see if all the hype concerning ‘Robocop’s striking pedigree and overall skillset is as true as they say. Lee, who also holds the ONE lightweight world title, told ONE Championship:

“Roberto, he’s been a big name that ONE Championship just recently signed. I know there’s been a lot of talk about him. A lot of hype coming from behind him. So I think that if he wins, and he gets a good finish over Ramazanov, he’s definitely next in line.”
