ONE welterweight fighter Roberto Soldic issued a stern warning to his ONE on Prime Video 5 opponent Murad Ramazanov.

The pivotal matchup, which will likely determine the next world title contender at 185 lbs, is one of the most highly-anticipated matches on the main card of ONE’s fifth massive venture that will air live on US primetime.

On December 2, ONE on Prime Video 5: De Ridder vs. Malykhin will mark the promotion’s return to the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, in over two years. North American Amazon Prime Video subscribers will be able to watch this event live and free of charge.

Following a stellar MMA career in Europe, Soldic was a wanted man and had a lot of offers in free agency. The Croatian superstar eventually came to terms with the largest martial arts organization in the world. Now, Roberto Soldic wants to prove that his hype is real against an extremely dangerous opponent who is yet to face the bitter taste of defeat.

In an exclusive interview with ONE Championship, the 27-year-old said he’s grateful to face a prolific fighter like Ramazanov in his promotional debut:

“You can see that I never chose an opponent, they pushed me straight away in the fire against a very tough guy. I respect him a lot, 11-0, but I can say that he’s never faced anybody like me. I'm something different. I'm a southpaw, I'm a very dangerous guy, and it's not going to be easy for him.”

Moreover, ‘Robocop’ cited the fact that he’ll be fighting close to his walking weight, which he believes will be an advantage against the Russian grappler:

“I don't have to cut weight. It's good for me. I feel very, very good, very strong, and I'm always on my weight. I do good performance, a lot of power, good condition, and my mind is there.”

Roberto Soldic has acclimated himself to Manila’s humid weather

Roberto Soldic is currently riding high on a seven-fight winning streak, and he’s already gone to great lengths to preserve that record. Aside from continuously sharpening his skills in the gym, ‘Robocop’ has also considered other factors, including the climate of the country he’ll be fighting in.

Soldic, after all, is used to the freezing temperatures of Germany, which is a far cry from the Philippines’ tropical weather. In preparation for Manila’s humidity, Soldic has opted to continue his training in Singapore, which has a similar climate. He told the MMA Superfan in an earlier interview:

“I will stay in Evolve gym for training to take this time in to prepare my body for the temperature. Because there's a big difference now, here [in Germany], it's cold -- around two or three degrees, five sometimes. Singapore is always 30, same as Manila, so I think that's enough time, two and a half weeks is enough time.”
