Roberto Soldic has put in the work at the gym for his highly-anticipated ONE Championship debut. Now he just needs to acclimate to the climate change of competing in the Philippines.

Living in Germany, Soldic is used to the harsh cold of winter. With the Philippines significantly warmer by comparison, ‘Robocop’ is planning on heading to the Southeast Asian country a few weeks ahead of ONE on Prime Video 5 as he completes his final preparations for a showdown with Murad Ramazanov. Discussing his travel plans with The MMA Superfan, Soldic said:

“I will stay in Evolve gym for training to take this time in to prepare my body for the temperature. Because there's a big difference now, here [in Germany], it's cold -- around two or three degrees, five sometimes. Singapore is always 30, same as Manila, so I think that's enough time, two and a half weeks is enough time.”

Roberto Soldic will walk into the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila with a 20-3 record, riding the wave of a seven-fight win streak. With his resume, ‘Robocop’ only needs one big win to earn a ONE world title opportunity. Standing in his way is undefeated Russian grappler Murad Ramazanov.

The two warriors will kick off the ONE on Prime Video 5 main card on Friday night. The event can be viewed by fans live in North America for free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Aung La N Sang is pulling for Roberto Soldic at ONE on Prime Video 5

Fresh off his big win against Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami at ONE 163, former two-division world champion Aung La N Sang will be pulling for Roberto Soldic as he makes his ONE Championship debut this Friday night at ONE on Prime Video 5. In an interview with The MMA Superfan, ‘The Burmese Python’ said:

“I mean, I hope Roberto wins. But either way you know, it could go either way. I stopped guessing who’s gonna win because I think ‘oh this guy’s grappling is good, his striking is this good’ but the thing is it’s a fight.”

Aung La stopped short of trying to predict a winner but expects the main card opener to be a highly entertaining scrap:

“I don’t know who’s gonna win that fight man, I can’t predict the future. But it’s gonna be a good one. It depends if Ramazanov can take him down and pound him for the decision or if the guy’s gonna use his footwork and keep it on the feet.”
