Croatian MMA sensation Roberto Soldic will make his North American debut under the ONE Championship banner at ONE Fight Night 10. The powerful welterweight will lock horns with former divisional world champion Zebaztian 'The Bandit' Kadestam in front of a sold-out crowd at the 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado.
Any other sane human would quiver in their boots and avoid fighting Kadestam at all costs, but not 'Robocop'. Soldic harkens back to the warriors of old, who care little about who they fight but only when and where.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Roberto Soldic plainly recounted how he accepted his bout with Zebaztian Kadestam:
"My manager called me and said, ‘You’re fighting in America against Zebaztian Kadestam, a former World Champion.’ I have to fight. I never choose any opponent."
It's beyond a shadow of a doubt that Soldic is more than eager to return to action after the disappointing outcome of his ONE debut late last year against wrestling specialist Murad Ramazanov. Soldic received an accidental groin shot during the clinch, and the bout was ruled a no-contest.
Soldic, however, has the perfect dance partner in Kadestam, who is more than willing to stand toe-to-toe with the heralded 'Robocop'.
