Former two-division KSW world champion ‘Robocop’ Roberto Soldic came to ONE Championship with a dream of becoming a titleholder in multiple martial arts disciplines. That means holding gold not only in mixed martial arts, but in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and potentially boxing as well.

It’s something no one in the history of combat sports has ever achieved, but a feat Soldic is hoping he can pull off.

Speaking to Timothy Wheaton of MMA Sucka in a recent interview, Soldic talked about the magnitude of what he’s aiming for, and how it will put him in such rarefied air.

‘Robocop’ said:

“This was also one of the plans but for now, I focus on MMA. You also never hear [anyone] taking [multiple] belts, even in Pride and K1 before. Now, we have all these [belts] in one organization. I compete with the best guys, so I never hear anyone taking the MMA belt and kickboxing belt in the same organization, [especially] with high-level guys.”

Roberto Soldic will take the first step toward realizing that dream when he takes on former ONE welterweight world champion ‘The Bandit’ Zebaztian Kadestam in his next fight.

Soldic and Kadestam throw down at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs Moraes III on Prime Video, which broadcasts live from the 1stBank Center in Colorado on Friday, May 5th. The event will be streamed for free in the United States and Canada on Amazon Prime.

If Soldic can defeat Kadestam, a former titleholder with ONE, it will put him virtually next in line to challenge for the division’s throne, which is currently occupied by ONE lightweight and welterweight world champion Christian ‘The Warrior’ Lee.
