Roberto Soldic arrived in ONE Championship as one of the promotion’s biggest ever signings.

After producing an incredible run in Europe that saw him become a two-weight world champion in KSW, Soldic joined ONE as a very exciting addition to the roster. Unfortunately, ‘Robocop’ has not been able to showcase exactly what he brings to the table to the ONE fans as of yet.

His debut ended in the first round following an accidental groin strike. But at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5, Soldic gets the opportunity that he has been waiting for.

Not only will the Croatian superstar get the chance to face the former champion and fellow knockout artist Zebaztian Kadestam, he will compete alongside some of the biggest names in the promotion where he belongs.

ONE Fight Night 10 will see ONE Championship host their first event in the United States. As a result, some of the biggest and best competitors on the roster will be arriving to put on a show in Broomfield, Colorado.

In an interview with the promotion, Soldic spoke about the added motivation that he draws from competing alongside the likes of Demetrious Johnson and many more:

“I’m very happy I’m fighting in America because I’m on a great card too. Demetrious Johnson against Adriano Moraes. Sage Northcutt is back. Rodtang Jitmuangnon is there, Stamp Fairtex, and all the big names. I’m also on that card, and this makes me go to the gym and train, and keep working hard.”

Roberto Soldic feels like he has a point to prove at ONE Fight Night 10 and has been putting himself through a training camp that will ensure this happens.

On May 5 at the 1stBank Centre in Broomfield, Colorado, ‘Robocop’ will face off against former ONE welterweight world champion Zebaztian Kadestam. Whilst it won’t be the first time that Soldic has stepped inside the circle, he is hoping that it will be his chance to showcase what he does best.

At ONE Fight Night 5 on Prime Video last year, Soldic’s highly anticipated debut didn’t get the opportunity to live up to the hype. Facing Murad Ramazanov, Soldic was unintentionally hit with a knee to the groin that he couldn’t continue from, leaving him very disappointed after he was unable to prove any of his skills and justify fans’ high expectations for his career in ONE Championship.

Up until his unfortunate debut against Ramazanov, Soldic had been on an incredible run of performances, producing a highlight reel of finishes that saw him become the KSW welterweight and middleweight world champion.

Ahead of ONE Fight Night 10, Soldic posted on social media, giving fans a sneak peak at his preparations for the fight where he looks in great shape:

“Great training today🥇🇺🇸 #onefightnight10 @onechampionship”

ONE Fight Night on May 5, headlined by the trilogy bout between Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes, is live via and free via Prime Video for North American viewers.
