Rodtang Jitmuangnon believes the mixed-rules superfight between Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video will bore a similar resemblance to his own mixed-rules bout with flyweight great Demetrious Johnson.

‘The Iron Man’ competed in the promotion’s first-ever mixed-rules matchup at ONE X in March alongside Johnson. The bout was both unique and exciting, receiving critical acclaim from virtually everyone that tuned in.

On Friday (January 13), the promotion will do it once again with Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen meeting in a bout that will alternate between Muay Thai and MMA rules.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, ‘The Iron Man’ shared his thoughts on Friday’s mixed-rules showcase and likened it to his own against ‘Mighty Mouse’ last year. Rodtang said:

"Both are really good fighters and it depends on which one of them would make a mistake that the other person can take advantage [of]. Anissa is really good at kickboxing and Muay Thai, she’s a really good striker."
"Stamp needs to be careful. Well, both have to be careful with each other. Stamp will get more of the advantage in the MMA [rounds]. It’s like when I fought Demetrious Johnson."

Rodtang will also feature on the ONE Fight Night 6 card, taking on Chinese striker Jiduo Yibu in a kickboxing bout. The event streams live and for free for North American fans via Prime Video.

There is no love lost between Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen

Since ONE Championship announced the historic mixed-rules superfight between Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen, the two female warriors have been taking jabs at one another. Meksen got things started in September when she downplayed the Thai superstar’s skills saying, “She’s a dancer, I’m a real fighter.”

Speaking to ONE Championship, Stamp snapped back at Meksen, telling the seven-time world champion to be afraid, especially of her Thai clinch. Stamp said:

“She said she was better than me in everything because she is a fighter and I am a dancer. But if I can catch her in the Muay Thai clinch, she will definitely be doomed. She will never run away from my elbows in that clinch.”

Stamp vs. Meksen will air live and for free with an active subscription on Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime this Friday night.
