ONE flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang Jitmuangnon is gearing up for his kickboxing debut, and he's looking forward to fireworks in the ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video co-main event.

The vacant flyweight kickboxing world title will be on the line when Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Daniel Puertas enter the circle. Rodtang expects an electric striking affair, and he revealed his pick in an interview with SCMP MMA:

"Of course, I have to go with Superlek. He’s a real fighter and he’s calm. Puertas might be able to score with kicking and he might put up a fight, but I’m going with Superlek."

ONE's flyweight kickboxing belt is vacant due to former champ Alaverdi Ramazanov failing to make the flyweight limit of 135 lbs while being hydrated.

Lito Adiwang gives Rodtang the edge in upcoming fight

ONE strawweight contender Lito Adiwang is sidelined while rehabbing an ACL tear. He recently commented on several of the promotion's biggest upcoming fights, including the anticipated matchup between 'The Iron Man' and China's Jiduo Yibu.

Adiwang shared his analysis of the 25-year-old's upcoming kickboxing match in a conversation with The MMA Superfan. He said:

“I visualize this fight going to a decision, not actually a finish. This is going to be a decision, especially with some of Rodtang’s attacks and finishes coming from the Muay Thai pressure and not from the kickboxing style.”

'Thunder Kid' added, saying:

“This fight, they’re fighting in a kickboxing match. I visualize this match going to a decision but I think Rodtang will just demolish and take all the rounds here. Three rounds all Rodtang.”

The Thai striker has had nine straight bouts go to decision, and Adiwang believes his kickboxing debut will do the same. Meanwhile, Yibu is 0-1 inside the circle, with a loss coming at the hands of Daniel Puertas.

The Jitmuangnon Gym affiliate is one of the promotion's brightest stars. Notching a victory under kickboxing rules would further etch him into ONE's history books.

ONE Fight Night 6 features a pair of title fights in addition to the promotion's second-ever mixed-rules match between Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen. The event is starting 2023 off with a bang in what will be a historic year for ONE.

Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 to watch the flyweight Muay Thai champ enter the realm of kickboxing to face Jiduo Yibu.
