At ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, Rodtang Jitmuangnon will look to kick off his 2023 with a big win. ‘The Iron Man’ will look to carry over his success in Muay Thai over to kickboxing as he faces China’s Jiduo Yibu.

His originally scheduled opponent, Daniel Puertas, was promoted into the co-main event to face Superlek for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship after it was vacated by Ilias Ennahachi.

Whilst that means Rodtang misses out on the opportunity to face Puertas, he also has a great opportunity to announce himself as the next challenger in line for the winner of the vacant world title.

In an interview with SCMP MMA, he spoke about the statement that he is looking to make on January 13:

“I will go 100 percent all in. I am one step closer to the kickboxing belt. Iron Man’s here and I will not disappoint the fans.”

In 2022, Rodtang showed that he is willing to take himself out of his comfort zone to find new challenges after dominating as the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion.

At ONE X in March, he faced Demetrious Johnson in the promotion’s first-ever mixed-rules superfight. Coming up short on that occasion, ‘The Iron Man’ returned to the flyweight Muay Thai division to re-assert his dominance, culminating in a brilliant performance in defending his world title against strawweight Muay Thai king Joseph Lasiri.

ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video is live from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand and airs in US primetime, free to watch with an active Prime subscription.

WATCH: Rodtang teaches Mitch Chilson how to throw a liver shot

Rodtang Jitmaungnon strikes fear into his opponents with his wide array of devastating weapons. On top of his lighting-fast leg kicks, one of his best strikes is his body shot, which he has used to cripple his opponents.

With his relentless pressure, it’s only a matter of time before ‘The Iron Man’ lands this devastating shot to the liver that can shut the lights out anytime it lands.

Recently, former ONE competitor-turned-commentator Mitch Chilson got a lesson from the man himself on how to properly execute his patented liver shot in a clip posted to his Instagram.

“Could you take a @rodtang_jimungnon body shot?"

Fans on Instagram commented below the post in response to Chilson’s caption, quivering at the mere thought of having to face that man inside the circle:

Here are some of the reactions:

“It's the setup that makes this - in each of those clips they're expecting Rodtang to throw to the head, and cover up.”
“Ima go ahead and say Nah. This dude doesn't look like he's playing around, and his form is transferring a lot of weight. Nahhhh man. This sh*t gonna hurt.”
“That liver punch ain't no f**king joke.”
“Hell naw I can't take that body shot my soul is escaping my body at that point”
“No I cannot take the shot. I would end up in the hospital.”
“My man Haggerty felt that sh*t”
