Rodtang Jitmuangnon is happy that Ilias Ennahachi vacated his world title. Ennahachi was booked to defend his throne against Superlek Kiatmoo9, but due to weight issues, he dropped out of the fight and vacated the world championship.

Superlek, aka 'The Kicking Machine', will now battle Spain's Daniel Puertas for the vacant ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship. The match is booked for ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video on January 13. The fight card will be live and free to watch for North American fans with a Prime Video subscription.

Rodtang, a Muay Thai superstar, thinks it was a wise move by Ennahachi to drop out of the fight and vacate the throne. In an interview with ONE, the 25-year-old Thai explained:

"[Ilias Ennahachi] made the right move. It is better than forcing himself to fight at a catchweight. It also benefits Superlek in that he still has a chance to claim the vacant belt. I’ll wait and see who claims this belt and I’m going to claim it for myself next time."

'The Iron Man' will also be competing at ONE Fight Night 6. 'The Iron Man' will meet China's Jiduo Yibu, aka 'The Eagle of Yi', in a kickboxing battle. In 2023, the Thai combat sports star is looking to add a kickboxing world title to his name.

Rodtang wants the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship

After hundreds of wins in Muay Thai and several defenses of his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title, Rodtang wants some new gold. This year, he wants the kickboxing throne as well.

In an interview with ONE, the 25-year-old explained:

“I am more than ready [to fight for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title if I win] because it is not the first time I have fought in kickboxing. And I’m the No.1-ranked contender. So, I think I have the right to challenge for kickboxing gold with either Superlek or Daniel.”

However, he must defeat Yibu on January 13. Addressing his next fight, Rodtang said:

"I am confident and determined. I’ll try my best to reach my goal. I can see the finish line appearing around my next corner. I’ll wait and see who claims this belt, and I’m going to claim it for myself next time out.”
