A loaded first half of the year for Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon has gotten more packed as he is slated to appear in his third fight in May.

ONE Championship recently announced that 'The Iron Man' will defend his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title against Mexican striker Edgar Tabares on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.

The fight will come a month and a half after Rodtang challenges champion Superlek 'The Kicking Machine' Kiatmoo9 for the ONE flyweight kickboxing gold at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video on March 24 in Singapore.

The celebrated Thai striker already has one fight under his belt in 2023, beating China’s Jiduo Yibu by unanimous decision in their catchweight kickboxing showdown last month.

If both of his upcoming fights go his way, 'The Iron Man' gets to fulfill one of his immediate career goals, which is to become a two-sport world champion.

Rodtang, 25, has been ONE flyweight Muay Thai king since August of 2019 and has successfully defended the belt four times, most recently against Joseph Lasiri last November.

28-year-old Tabares, for his part, is making his promotional debut. He is Mexico’s first WBC Muay Thai International Champion and boasts an ultra-aggressive style that he hopes can foil the durability of the Thai champion.

ONE Fight Night 10 is ONE’s first-ever live on-ground event in the United States. It will happen at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado and will be aired live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Rodtang reveals dates and locations of seminars in the U.S.

Before he competes in ONE Championship’s first-ever live on-ground show in North America in May, Rodtang Jitmuangnon is set for a 15-day tour of the States this month for Muay Thai seminars.

'The Iron Man' will be in the U.S. from February 18 to March 5 to share his knowledge on the “art of eight limbs” in different gyms and locations.

In an Instagram post, Rodtang shared the schedule of his tour, and captioned it with:

“See you America 🇺🇸👊🏻👊🏻💪🏻.”

The tour begins on February 18 in New Jersey, with stops thereafter in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Florida.

It has been an eventful 2023 for 'The Iron Man' to date. In January, he won a kickboxing fight that earned him a spot opposite Superlek for the division's world title in March. This week, it was confirmed that he will also defend his Muay Thai strap in May.

He was also recently ordained as a Buddhist Monk and is reportedly set to get married.
