Sage Northcutt has had to wait a long time for his return to the circle, but ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video feels like the perfect time for his comeback.

Northcutt last stepped inside the circle four years ago for his ONE Championship debut but wasn’t able to live up to the hype. After being knocked out in the opening round, Northcutt was forced to take a hiatus from competition to recover from his injuries and undergo surgery.

A bout with COVID-19 added further delays but his time away from the spotlight is nearly over. ‘Super’ Sage will return on May 5 on what will be a historic night for the promotion as ONE Championship hosts its first ever on-site event in the United States.

The 1stBank Center in Colorado is the perfect stage for Northcutt to make his return in style as he faces Ahmed Mujtaba. In a recent interview with the promotion, Northcutt spoke about making his return at one of the biggest events in the history of ONE Championship:

“I’m really excited to be fighting for ONE Championship for the first U.S. card. I think that’s really cool.”

ONE Fight Night 10 is ONE Championship’s fifth Amazon card of the year and will be broadcast live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Sage Northcutt believes the best is yet to come

After four years away from the spotlight, ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt is ready to prove that he still has plenty left to give in his career.

At ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5, Sage will be one of the fighters that is representing the United States inside the circle. At 1stBank Center in Colorado, Sage wants to showcase his skills and prove to his home crowd that he is far from done.

Despite the four years that he has spent away from competition, Northcutt is still very early on in his career. It can be easy to forget due to how long he has been a star but Northcutt arrived on the global stage at a very young age.

In an interview with ONE Championship, he spoke about his absence from the sport and how he doesn’t think it will have a long-term effect on his career:

“I just had some time [to] take care of some personal things,” Northcutt said. “It’s going to be exciting getting back in there. I’ll only be 26 years old, having 14 professional MMA fights, so I’m super excited. I feel like I’m just getting started and I’m still so young that I can have a lot of fights.”

At ONE Fight Night 10, he will face Pakistan’s Ahmed Mujtaba where a win will see him shoot right back up the rankings. The entire event will air live and for free via Prime Video for North American viewers.
