Sage Northcutt shared in detail how he prepares and cooks the food he eats on a typical day of training.

Three months from now, 'Super Sage' will be making his highly-anticipated return to the circle after four years. He is scheduled to face the heavy-handed Pakistani Ahmed Mujtaba in a lightweight showdown at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on US soil.

Until then, Northcutt is making every effort to be ready on the big day. Not only is he focused on training in all aspects of MMA, but he is also eating the right meals to fuel his body.

The 26-year-old superstar has had some major catching up to do since his last public appearance in May 2019. While he was away, a new breed of athletes took the MMA world by storm.

There has been a significant rise in hybrid fighters who can finish fights both on their feet and on the ground. Thus, a fighter can no longer rely on just striking or grappling to end fights because, chances are, the opposition is proficient in both.

This is the type of challenge Sage Northcutt will have to prepare for when he meets Ahmed Mujtaba for the first time. The Pakistani standout is a complete MMA fighter who has a proven track record of defeating world-class opponents via knockout or submission. For Northcutt, the threat is real.

However, Northcutt revealed he’d spent a lot of time developing MMA skills over the last few years. He plans to surprise fans with how much he’s evolved while he was away.

Sage Northcutt says it’s not too late to make a full comeback into his MMA career

Sage Northcutt is dying to show fans how truly efficient he is inside the ring. Planning to bounce back from his only loss in ONE Championship, Northcutt has vowed to stay in the competitive circle for many years to come.

After all, he’s been keeping up with his training at 10th Planet in Texas, sparring with high-level athletes and having sessions with world-renowned coaches such as Team Alpha Male coach Uriah Faber.

Despite facing some adversity early on in his career, Northcutt intends to be in the industry for a lengthy period of time.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani from The MMA Hour, he said:

“I have a long career ahead of me. I’m so young it’s not such a crazy rush but now that I am coming back, I would like to have several fights this year, and have a lot of fights and stay super active.”
