Sam-A confident Rodtang will target the weaknesses of Takeru's game in 2025 showdown: "He should have a plan to exploit it"

Sam-A Gaiyanghadao is confident Rodtang Jitmuangnon will take advantage of even the slightest openings to overcome Takeru Segawa.

The former ONE world champion was asked about his thoughts on this impending superfight that will take place sometime next year during a recent catchup with Sportskeeda MMA.

Though he expects a war to unfold with both men relying on their world-class talent to stamp their dominance, the striking legend recalled that Rodtang had previously stated in an interview that he has seen a few holes in Takeru's game — and he knows 'The Iron Man' will do everything he can to walk the talk and execute his goal to perfection.

Sam-A said:

"[A tough fight] but in the end I think Rodtang will manage to win. Because Rodtang once said that he has seen a flaw in Takeru's game. He should have a plan to exploit it."

A superfight between these two striking megastars has been hot on the lips of everyone from the very day rumors surfaced about Takeru inking a deal with ONE Championship early last year. In April 2023, the promotion made it official and announced the signing of the multi-time K-1 world champion.

Takeru and Rodtang were then locked in for a scrap at ONE 165 in January this year. The then-ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion was forced out of the tie after sustaining an injury that kept him out of action.

The pair have since shared a couple of heated exchanges on the global stage, the most recent one being at ONE 169 shortly after Rodtang beat Jacob Smith.
