Scottish KO artist Nico Carrillo summarizes his dream run in ONE Championship in two perfect words

Nico Carrillo hasn't been here for a long time but he is here for a good one and his ONE Championship run to date has proven that.

The Scottish Muay Thai wizard has had one of the most exciting rises in recent years.

With four fights and four knockouts under his belt in the promotion, Carrillo has ascended right to the top of the bantamweight division.

Things couldn't have gone much better for him so far with victories over the likes of former divisional king Nong-O Hama and world title challenger Saemapetch Fairtex cementing his status as the number one contender.

Every striker dreams of doing exactly what 'King of the North' has done. Emerging on the global stage by blowing right through elite opposition until he reached the very top.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports in the lead-up to the biggest fight of his career, Carrillo spoke about what he would class as a dream run considering what he has already accomplished. He broke it down to two simple words and so far, he's ticking both boxes:

"I had two words there. The first one that came to mind is 'awesome' and the second one is 'fast'."
