Rising British striker Freddie Haggerty is looking forward to seeing strawweight kickboxing stars Prajanchai PK Saenchai and Jonathan Di Bella settle top fighter status in the division. He wants them to sort out things through a unification bout soon.

Prajanchai is the reigning divisional king after claiming the vacant belt in June last year with a decision victory over former world champion Di Bella.

The Canada-Italian fighter, however, returned to the mix after he won the interim championship belt with a dominant decision win over Thai legend and fellow former champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao in March.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Haggerty chimed in on the Prajanchai-Di Bella battle at the top, suggesting that two get it done with in a unification match before anything else amid Prajanchai's interest to battle Japanese legend Takeru Segawa and Di Bella's solid fighting form of late.

The Knowlesy Academy/Team Underground affiliate said:

"I think he needs to fight Di Bella. I personally fought Di Bella won the last fight, if I'm completely honest. I think they need to settle that score, especially after how Di Bella has been performing recently. I think he's great, to be fair. I'd like to see that before he goes to fight Takeru."

He shared this in the same interview with the South China Morning Post, highlighting that while he is taking it easy at the moment in training, he makes sure he does not lose focus on what he needs to do.

Haggerty said:

"Not really much, to be honest, I have just still been in training, ticking over, waiting for this opportunity. I'm always learning anyway, just nothing specific, just tidying everything up a little bit, not panicking, not rushing."
