MMA fans recently voiced their thoughts about Sean Strickland's criticism of the concept of mental therapy. Apart from this, Strickland also advised parents to discipline their kids by beating them if necessary.
Strickland has a reputation for his unfiltered takes on various social issues. The former middleweight champ has been a staunch critic of the LGBTQ movement. He also doesn't mind firing a shot or two at other UFC fighters with his posts.
Strickland is currently debating with the MMA community about why he should be the next in line for a shot at the UFC middleweight gold. Khamzat Chimaev's dominating victory over Robert Whittaker got him in a contest with 'Tarzan' for the next middleweight title shot. Since then, Strickland has defended his position for the next title shot with multiple tweets.
This time, he decided to bring up another social issue. Strickland expressed that the concept of therapy was actually for the ones with a weak mental resolve. He also suggested a measure for parents to build a better mental framework in their kids, which many would call abuse. The 33-year-old penned:
"When I meet a guy in therapy "oh man I'm sorry, did your uncle f**k you?" Then they say some bs like "my parents separated at 18". [What] Daa [the] f**k is wrong with you. [The] moral of the story is beat your kids so they don't look like a b**ch in therapy... Therapy lol such a scam"
However, the post's comments section showcased a large chunk of fans weren't entertained by Strickland's unfiltered take on therapy. One of them wrote:
"Thats so sigma of you !!!!"
Others concurred:
"Sickening thing to say"
"L take my guy. Just cause your trauma is "worse" than someone else's doesn't make their trauma any less bad."
"This guy needs therapy"

Sean Strickland criticized Canadians for electing Justin Trudeau
Sean Strickland is known for presenting his opinions on various issues. Earlier this year in January, Strickland criticized Canadians for voting Justin Treadeau into office ahead of UFC 297.
At the UFC 297 media day, a reporter informed him about how Canadians generally accept people from the LGBTQ community. Being a staunch critic of the movement, Strickland termed the reporter a "weak" man. He also mentioned that people like him were the ones behind re-electing Justin Trudeau as the Prime Minister of Canada:
"You're a weak f**king man, dude. You're part of the f**king problem. You elected Justin Trudeau... 10 years ago, to be a trans, was a mental f**king illness, and now all of a sudden people like you have weaseled your way into the world. You're an infection. You're the definition of weakness."
