MMA superstar Stamp Fairtex is looking to improve her English to better interact with fans from the USA. Her next fight will be broadcast live in US primetime at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, which fans can enjoy on January 13.

The former two-sport world champion discussed learning English in an interview with Tom Taylor of SCMP MMA. Thailand's Stamp Fairtex said:

"I’ve been practicing a lot because I’ve been interacting with a lot of foreigners so I would like to be able to communicate."

At ONE Fight Night 6, Fairtex will face a huge test as she meets decorated Muay Thai and kickboxing fighter 'C18' Anissa Meksen. Meksen and Fairtex will meet in a mixed-rules superfight showdown. Their fight will alternate between Muay Thai and MMA rules each round.

Fairtex and Meksen have each held world titles in both kickboxing and Muay Thai. The Thai-born Fairtex won her crowns in ONE Championship. The French-Algerian Meksen earned her gold in organizations such as GLORY Kickboxing, ISKA, WAKO, and others.

Fans around the globe are eagerly awaiting the high-stakes showdown between Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen. The two strikers have exchanged some pretty strong words against each other leading up to their matchup.

Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen are not impressed with one another

Feared striker Anissa Meksen said it plainly, the skills of Stamp Fairtex do not impress her. Speaking in an interview with ONE Championship, the French-Algerian fighter said:

"For me, she's a good fighter, but not the best. I have beaten stronger athletes than her. So for me, I never underestimate my opponent. But you know, I prepare like it will be the last one. Every time."

Anissa Meksen is undefeated in the ONE circle. Most recently, she defeated Dangkongfah Banchamek in a Muay Thai match. 'C18's win over Dangkongfah was not well received by Fairtex. The Thai-born athlete spoke with SCMP MMA's Nic Atkin. She said:

"I think Dangkongfah is a good athlete, but the advantage that Anissa had over her is that Dangkongfah is quite smaller than her, and this is the first time Dangkongfah fought [on the global stage]. Maybe Dangkongfah got a little bit nervous and excited to fight in ONE. Anissa has good punches, that is all."
