In her next fight, Stamp Fairtex will need to use her entire arsenal if she is to emerge victorious. At ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, Stamp will compete in the promotion's second-ever mixed-rules fight against Anissa Meksen.

Whilst Stamp has shown herself to be one of the top strikers in ONE Championship, she is well aware of the challenge that Meksen presents as a former two-time GLORY champion who is undefeated since signing with ONE.

In an interview with SCMP MMA, Stamp Fairtex spoke about her gameplan going into the fight:

“I’m planning to do the clinch and be really close to her because she’s [Anissa] is very good at striking. I would try to stay as close as possible and also use a lot of knees.”

The fight is a mixed-rules clash between two elite strikers. An added level of tension to this matchup came once the fight was announced following Meksen’s win over Banchamek.

In her post-fight interview, during which it was revealed that next time out she will face Stamp Fairtex, the French-Algerian made it clear that she is not intimidated by the thought of facing her, calling her a ‘dancer’.

Although she referenced Stamp’s ring walks and post-fight celebrations, it can’t be forgotten that she was ONE Championship’s first multi-sport world champion, holding titles in Muay Thai and Kickboxing.

Stamp Fairtex looking to fight in Muay Thai again in ONE Championship

No matter the ruleset, Stamp Fairtex has displayed her world class striking abilities.

After debuting with ONE Championship competing in MMA, it wasn't long before the Thai star started to switch up the ruleset and compete in striking-only contests, where she thrived.

Immediately after stepping away from MMA temporarily, Stamp became a huge name by making history in ONE Championship. In her first two fights, she became the promotion’s first-ever multi-sport world champion.

After raising both the Muay Thai and kickboxing atomweight world championships over her head, Stamp looked to continue her development in MMA to try and win a third world title in another ruleset.

Shifting her focus to the discipline she was yet to win a world championship in, Stamp nearly achieved her dream at ONE X, when she met Angela Lee following her success in the women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix.

Whilst she was unsuccessful on that occasion, it hasn’t derailed her aspirations. Whilst the atomweight MMA world championship remains the goal, she isn’t opposed to returning to the striking only rulesets where she made her name.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, she said:

“Later, I think I’ll find a way back to fight in Muay Thai for fans who miss me. I hope that Chatri [Sityodtong] would allow me to come back to Muay Thai sometime next year.”
