MMA News: Super Fight League Contenders successfully concluded in Mizoram

India’s biggest MMA promotion company Super Fight League came to the capital city of Mizoram to organise SFL contenders, after successfully conducting contenders in Mumbai and Delhi.

Next stops are Hyderabad and Bangalore. SFL contenders Aizawl was held on 6th December 2016 at SibyFarms, World Bank Road, Aizawl, Mizoram. It was purely an amateur event where selected fighters would be given a chance to fight in the undercards during SFL’s new season from January 2017.

It was exam time for most of the colleges but still the fighter participation response was huge and the public support was great. All the big print and electronic medias supported the event. The event was sanctioned by India’s largest and oldest MMA organisation - All India MMA Association (AIMMAA).

The event was hosted by the Mizoram State MMA Association (MISMA) in collaboration with JSJ FitPro. SFL COO Rajesh Mehta came to witness the event. He was accompanied by Alan Fenandez, the national coach who was the chief supervisor for the event.

AIMMAA also deputed the North East India MMA Association Chief Delegate Samuel Lalrozama as event commissioner and head referee.

The event saw several hard-fought bouts

There were 60 participants in all, from 4 different states – Mizoram, Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya. MISMA released their souvenir magazine, commemorating three years of successfully running the organisation and completion of three big MMA fight nights JSJ Fight League 1, 2 & 3 (JSL season one).

Four winners were selected by SFL to fight in their new season:
