Superlek Kiatmoo9 was disappointed to find that his original opponent, Ilias Ennahachi, was unable to make weight for their co-main event clash previously scheduled for ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13.

Speaking with ONE Championship, ‘The Kicking Machine’ shared his thoughts on Ennahachi’s withdrawal. However, he understood that the move was in the best interest of his former foe:

“He [Ennahachi] realizes that he couldn’t make weight. If he ignores this, it may adversely affect the organization, and his fans may be disappointed by him. But if we have a chance to face each other again, I am happy with that.”

The two fighters met previously at ONE: Fists of Fury in February 2021, where Ennahachi earned a unanimous decision win over Superlek.

Ennahachi, who was scheduled to enter the bout as the reigning and defending flyweight kickboxing world champion, was unable to safely make weight for the championship clash with Superlek. It left the SB Gym product no choice but to withdraw, vacating his title in the process.

As a result, 'The Kicking Machine' received a new opponent, Daniel Puertas. The pair will now compete against one another for the vacant flyweight kickboxing championship live on Amazon Prime Video. Airing in U.S. primetime, fans in North America can catch that fight and much more for free with an active Prime Video subscription.

Superlek Kiatmoo9 believes his toughness stands above the rest

When it comes to toughness inside the circle, there are a few names that immediately spring to mind, one of them being Rodtang Jitmuangnon. But if you ask Superlek who the toughest man in ONE Championship is, ‘The Kicking Machine’ will put himself right at the top of the list.

In an interview with the promotion, 'The Kicking Machine' said:

“My toughness and relentlessness [set me apart]. Some of my opponents may be strong, but they can’t compare with me in the term of toughness. Some people get hit and show signs of pain, but I don’t.”

'The Kicking Machine' will once again have the opportunity to prove that when he faces Daniel Puertas with ONE gold on the line.

Fans will also be treated to the return of Rodtang at ONE Fight Night 6. ‘The Iron Man’ will strap on 16oz gloves for a kickboxing showdown with Chinese striker Jiduo Yibu.
