Amidst all the excitement of Jon Jones' return, Ian Garry also featured on the UFC 285 card and put on a masterful display against Kenan Song before finishing him late in the third round.

'The Future' has made it clear that he isn't interested in just being another high-level competitor and is aiming for championship success. The Dublin native has showcased his ability in every facet of the sport, but his rangy striking remains his most notable trait in the cage.

In a post on social media shortly after UFC 285, Ian Garry sent a chilling message to the rest of the welterweight division as he shared a picture of his brutalized opponent Kenan Song.

"When you sign a contract to fight me, I take it personally and I make it my mission to make sure you know you made a bad decision..."

With the win, Garry extended his record under the UFC banner to 4-0 and will likely find himself in a huge matchup next time out. Throughout his two years with the promotion, the 25-year-old earned decision victories over Darian Weeks and Gabriel Green. He also has knockout wins against Jordan Williams and the aforementioned Kenan Song.

While Jon Jones and Alexa Grasso will be stealing the headlines following their performances on Saturday night, Ian Garry deserves a lot of respect for bouncing back from the early knockdown and finishing his compromised opponent.

Ian Garry's next fight: When is the Irishman fighting next?

Although he is fresh off a win at UFC 285, Ian Garry has announced his intention to make a quick turnaround and has given his ideal date and event that he would like to return to the octagon.

Immediately after knocking out Kenan Song, the Irishman got on the mic and asked the promotion to add him to the upcoming UFC 287 card in Miami, Florida, in five weeks' time.

With four wins under his belt, this could be the perfect time for Garry to break his way into the top 15 in the welterweight division. The rising prospect will likely be pitted against another notable contender in his weight class, which could make for a mouth-watering affair.
