Henry Cejudo contradicted his own manager after Ali Abdelaziz claimed that Cris Cyborg wasn't ready to fight Kayla Harrison.

On Twitter, Abdelaziz revealed that the PFL and Bellator MMA are willing to put together a cross-promotion event. The only one holding up the potential super fight, according to Abdelaziz, was Cyborg.

However, Cejudo refused to believe that the former UFC women's featherweight champ is unwilling to fight. 'Triple C' took to Twitter to write:

"Talk is cheap my brother. Cyborg is always ready"

Moments later, Cyborg herself responded to Cejudo's comments. The Brazilian seemingly confirmed that she isn't on board with the fight, but not because she's afraid of Harrison.

"I been in this game for years. It’s made me an animal. There’s rules to this stuff I wrote me a manual. Rule number Uno seems so simple. If it don’t make dollars it don’t make sense."

"I'd be running too" - Kayla Harrison on Cris Cyborg

Kayla Harrison said she can't blame Cris Cyborg for trying to avoid a fight with her. During a previous interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, the PFL poster child said:

"Yeah, I wouldn't be interested. I'd be running too [if I was Cris Cyborg]."

Harrison added that she presents an opportunity of a lifetime for Cyborg. With the Brazilian having won titles in the UFC and Bellator, a PFL belt is the only prize in North American MMA lacking in her collection.

"If she's the grandslam champ, she could be like Thanos and have all the jewels if that's what she wanted, right? That's it. That's a legacy that can't be tainted. I'm giving her the opportunity."

Harrison, a former Olympic gold medalist judoka, is already considered one of the greatest women's MMA fighters today. The only knock on her resume is that she hasn't fought any championship-level fighters in her four-year career.

Harrison has openly declared she’d be willing to face women’s MMA greats like Amanda Nunes and Cyborg. But with each fighter signed to a different organization, some form of cross-promotion will have to happen for either fight to take place.
