Tawanchai PK.Saenchai is ready for the opportunity to step into the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok as a ONE world champion on February 24.

Reigning as the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion, Tawanchai will defend his title at the iconic venue in the co-main event of ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the Thai star shared his excitement at competing inside a venue that has hosted some of the biggest names in Muay Thai history:

“It’s the nostalgic feeling. Lumpinee is the most respected stadium, which has accommodated the best Muay Thai fighters. There are so many that become well-known after fighting in this stadium.”

Standing in the way of a successful ONE world title defense is streaking featherweight contender Jamal Yusupov. Hailing from Turkey, Yusupov has scored three straight victories inside the circle against Yodsanklai, Samy Sana, and Jo Nattawut. Those wins have secured him the No. 2 spot on the featherweight Muay Thai rankings and put him in a position to capture 26.4 pounds of gold.

Fans can catch their co-main event clash live and for free on Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime on February 24.

Tawanchai dreams of holding a ONE world championship belt on each shoulder

At ONE 161 in September, Tawanchai PK.Saenchai reached the top of the mountain, capturing the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship after delivering a fantastic performance against Thai icon Petchmorakot Petchyindee.

Settling in as a champion in the biggest combat sports promotion in the world, Tawanchai is eyeing a potential turn at kickboxing to capture the ever-elusive two-sport status:

"Yes, I want to try kickboxing and I have a goal of becoming a two-belt world champion in the kickboxing division, especially in this division, there are a lot of high-level fighters."

Perhaps more important than becoming a two-sport world champion, Tawanchai wants to be recognized as one of the greatest Muay Thai practitioners in the history of the art of eight limbs:

"As for me, I want everyone to remember me as one of the Muay Thai fighters that everyone sees and everyone knows."

Already one of the most successful fighters in the history of the sport, he will have the opportunity to continue building his legacy at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 against a dangerous Turkish striker intent on making a name for himself at the expense of the Thai warrior.
