Tawanchai PK.Saenchai wins ONE Championship 2022 Muay Thai Fighter of the Year award

Producing three spectacular wins last year, Tawanchai PK.Saenchai has been named ONE’s 2022 Muay Thai Fighter of the Year.

Securing two magnificent knockouts, a sweet $50,000 performance bonus and the coveted ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title, Tawanchai rose above a list of strong contenders.

In January of 2022, Tawanchai kicked the year off on a high note by knocking out friend and former teammate, Saemapetch Fairtex. He did so in just under three minutes.

in his next bout, the Thai striker moved from banamweight to featherweight, where he absolutely starched Niclas Larsen with a piston-like left cross. The win earned him a $50,000 performance bonus and a guaranteed shot at then-world champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee.

The Saenchai Muaythaigym fighter finally realized his potential by absolutely dominating Petchmorakot at ONE 161 in September 2022. Tawanchai marvelously put an end to the world champ's near three-year reign atop the featherweight division. He also made it look so easy.

With one of the best years of his career already behind him, expect Tawanchai to achieve greater things as the new calendar year begins. Look to see him start 2023 off with a bang at ONE Fght Night 7.
