Tawanchai PK.Saenchai is more than happy to run it back with the only man to hand him a loss under the ONE Championship banner.
Tawanchai is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Petchmorakot Petchyindee to capture the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship. He is scheduled to defend his belt against dangerous Turkish striker Jamal Yusupov in the ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video co-main event.
Should he pass his first test as a ONE world champion, the Thai star may be looking down the barrel of a rematch with Sitthichai Sitsonpeenong later this year. On that, he told ONE:
“It’s actually up to ONE. No problem at all if they watch to set up a fight between me and Sitthichai. There's nothing to be avenged, though. Because he has my respect. But if ONE wants to make this fight happen, then I’m happy to face him.”
The two Muay Thai icons met at ONE: Battleground III in August 2021, with Sitthichai coming out on top via a closely contested split decision.
Though Sitthichai typically competes in ONE’s featherweight kickboxing decision, a chance to take on a man he’s already defeated with a ONE world title on the line may be too good of an opportunity to pass up.

Iconic striker John Wayne Parr is a fan of Tawanchai in and out of the Circle
Legendary Muay Thai star John Wayne Parr is a fan of Tawanchai PK.Saenchai, calling the ONE featherweight Muay Thai titleholder one of the heaviest hitters on the promotion’s roster.
When it comes to his demeanor outside of the circle, Parr dubbed the Thai warrior one of the most humble fighters he’s ever met in a recent post on Instagram:
“One of the best parts of being involved with @onechampionship is making friends with all the fighters. One of the most humble yet most scary would have to be @tawanchay_pk. Super humble in the hotel, yet in the circle one of the hardest hitters on the roster.”
Parr, a former WMC Muay Thai world champion, wrapped up his iconic combat sports career last year at ONE Championship’s 10th-anniversary showcase, ONE X.
Though Parr came up short in his final outing against former ONE lightweight world champion Eduard Folayang, it did nothing to diminish his status as one of the greatest strikers of all time.
‘The Gunslinger’ closed out his career with 99 victories and a slew of world championship wins after 35 years of competition.
