President-elect Donald Trump's recent statement to UFC commentator Joe Rogan is creating quite a buzz on social media. Before winning the U.S. 2024 elections, Trump made an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience.
On the podcast, the 78-year-old showered praise on UFC middleweight Bo Nickal and asked Rogan when the highly credentialed wrestler would be seen again inside the octagon. He said:
"You know, Bo Nickal, he's a great fighter. How's he gonna do? I think he's great. He's almost like undefeated in college. When is he fighting again?"
Rogan responded by saying that Nickal would compete at the upcoming UFC 309 event in Madison Square Garden in November. Trump then shared that he would either attend the event as the President or not go at all. He added:
"Oh, that's gonna be [interesting]. After the election? So, I'll either go as president or I'll be depressed and I won't bother to go."
Now that Trump has won the elections, his statement has caught the attention of several MMA fans. An MMA account named @SpinninBackfist uploaded a clip of Trump's comment on X. A number of fans took to the comments section to react.
Users chimed in with comments like:
