ONE Championship flyweight Muay Thai world title challenger Jacob Smith of the United Kingdom promises Rodtang Jitmuangnon one thing when they meet again in a highly anticipated rematch tomorrow night. This time, it's going to be different.
Smith and Rodtang first locked horns at ONE 157 in May of 2022, with 'The Iron Man' taking home a unanimous decision victory after a dominant performance against the Englishman.
But a lot of time has passed since, and Smith says he's gotten much better in the interim.
Speaking to veteran MMA reporter Nic Atkin of Bangkok Post in a recent interview, Smith says he has a few surprises for Rodtang when they meet again in the ONE Championship ring.
The 32-year-old Bad Company / Thaifist representative said:
"I’ve developed a lot as a fighter. My defensive tools, moreso. There’s a lot more finesse in me. I’ve grown a lot more wise. So when I throw down with him, I’m not just gonna hold my feet in one place."
Needless to say, fans can't wait for these two fiery flyweights to trade leather once again in the world's largest martial arts organization.
