Jonathan Di Bella is among those baffled that kickboxing doesn't exactly get the love it deserves in the United States. While North America certainly adores all forms of combat spectacles, the striking arts still take a backseat to mixed martial arts in the region.
However, Di Bella believes that if there's a promotion that could increase kickboxing's popularity in the US, it's certainly the world's largest martial arts organization, ONE Championship.
The former ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion shared in an appearance on Combat Sports Today's YouTube channel:
"That’s why I signed with ONE. ONE had kickboxing and I knew they were going to be going to the States. They have the right platform for it. So that’s why I want to make kickboxing big in the States."
Jonathan Di Bella feels right at home in ONE's incredible roster filled with some of the best strikers on the planet.
The home of martial arts has been putting all disciplines in the spotlight, offering Muay Thai, kickboxing, and submission grappling matches alongside MMA in its stacked events.

Jonathan Di Bella has sights set on reclaiming lost throne
Jonathan Di Bella saw his undefeated run come to an end at the hands of Prajanchai PK Saenchai the last time he graced the ONE ring.
As much as that stings, Italian-Canadian rues being unable to reclaim his strawweight kickboxing crown, a belt he once held dear in his possession.
This coming Dec. 6, Di Bella will get an opportunity to work his way back to a world title shot at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Prime Video.
"I want to become a world champion again. No, not really just the belt. Anybody who has the belt at the time. I wanna get the belt," Di Bella told Sportskeeda MMA.
To set up another date with Prajanchai, Di Bella must first get past the streaking Rui Botelho inside 'The Mecca of Muay Thai' Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
