ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title challenger and French-Algerian legend 'C18' Anissa Meksen has her eye on the only piece of golden hardware that has eluded her grasp.
Meksen will be competing for the ONE world title for the second time tomorrow night, when she takes on Filipina-American sensation Jackie Buntan for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world championship.
Addressing the media at the official ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug press conference on Wednesday in Bangkok, Meksen reiterated her desire to take home ONE Championship's richest prize.
The 36-year-old Korean Tiger Studios representative said:
"This is the belt that I want. I am only missing this one. I will take this belt back with me. So if I get the belt and the next objective is I'm going to keep fighting."
Meksen first challenged for the gold when she faced Thai superstar 'The Queen' Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom for the ONE women's atomweight kickboxing world title at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December of 2023.
Unfortunately, 'C18' dropped a wide unanimous decision after five rounds of action to her Thai counterpart. It was the first loss of her ONE Championship stint.
Now, Meksen is looking to make good on her goal of becoming a ONE world champion.
