Former UFC bantamweight world champion Cody Garbrandt is booked for another banger of a fight at bantamweight. At UFC Fight Night 246 at the Apex this October, 'No Love' will face off against surging 135-er Miles 'Chapo' Johns.

MMA journalist Marcel Dorff posted the fight booking on X, saying:

Cody Garbrandt is 2-3 in his last fight outings before UFC Apex 246

A win over a surging bantamweight like Johns is certainly something Cody Garbrandt needs now. The Team Alpha standout has only won two bouts in his last five outings in the Octagon.

After losing a unanimous decision to Rob Font in May 2021, 'No Love' dropped down to flyweight to face Kai Kara-France later that year. Unfortunately for the former world champion, he suffered a TKO loss to the Kiwi powerhouse.

Garbrandt took a whole year off after his failed flyweight experiment and moved back to bantamweight. The decision paid off as he compiled back-to-back wins over Trevin Jones and Brian Kelleher in 2023.

In his most recent outing, Garbrandt lost via a submission to fellow former champ Deiveson Figueiredo, who was moving up to bantamweight at UFC 300 last April.

A win over Miles Johns will certainly put Garbrandt back on the map and set him up for another world title run. His fans are counting on it.
