Yes, Triller Fight Club is somehow back.

The upstart promotion sprung up in 2020, to promote Mike Tyson's return. 'Iron Mike' faced Roy Jones Jr. in the main event of Triller Fight Club's maiden voyage on pay-per-view. The two heavyweights fought to a draw, with Jake Paul even appearing in the co-main event.

'The Problem Child' wound up knocking out Nate Robinson and returned to the promotion a few months later. Paul faced Ben Askren on Triller's second pay-per-view event in April 2021, scoring another knockout win. Following that victory, the YouTuber left for Showtime.

With such a big departure, the company has been unable to put on consistent events. That same year, they held a mixed-rules event featuring Frank Mir vs. Kubrat Pulev in the headlining spot. However, outside of small regional boxing shows, they haven't held a major event in almost two years.

Nonetheless, it seems that Triller Fight Club is back. As first reported by Michael Benson of TalkSport, former heavyweight champions James Toney and Donovan Ruddock. Luckily, the fight will just be an exhibition matchup, instead of a fully sanctioned bout.

The two heavyweights will headline an event on Triller pay-per-view. The card itself will be held in Jamaica, and go down on November 11.

Triller Fight Club: David Tetreault discusses return event

Triller Fight Club President David Tetreault has discussed the promotion's return to combat sports.

While this is Triller's first major card in almost two years, they have been holding smaller shows for quite a while now. Furthermore, they have a co-promotion with bare-knuckle boxing promotion, BKFC.

However, their upcoming exhibition pay-per-view card between James Toney and Donovan Ruddock is their first major card in a while. Triller Fight Club President David Tetreault promoted the company's return in a recent press release.

There, the promoter hinted that, with other events featuring Triller, there will be musical performances. Those have proved to be a controversial theme, considering the length of the company's prior events.

In the press release, the promotion's president was quoted as stating:

"Triller Sports is honored to be working in collaboration with Red Ground Productions to bring this event to life in the beautiful country of Jamaica. In November, two legends will return to the ring to fight for an incredibly great cause that will entertain and engage audiences worldwide with an unparalleled experience that combines heavyweight boxing with musical performances synonymous with the Triller brand."
