Turki Alalshikh and Dana White clarified their stance on the highly anticipated Terence Crawford vs. Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez fight. In a surprise move, Turki Alalshikh had announced that Saudi Arabia-based Sela would be the sole promoter of the fight.
This was a sharp deviation from the original plan, where White and TKO Boxing were originally announced as co-promoters of the fight alongside Alalshikh. While the exact reason for the announcement remained unclear, many speculated that logistical and promotional differences between White and Alalshikh may have contributed to the suspected fallout.
During the UFC 316 post-fight press conference, White was asked to share his thoughts on Alalshikh's announcement. He replied:
"I'm gonna tell you what's awesome, man. So, there's a lot of f*d up things about boxing, but they don't say sh*. I mean, nobody talks, it's the most amazing thing. If we sign a f* deal, and I pick my phone and go, 'Eh, we just signed a deal.' coz 90 thousand people will be out there talking about it. These guys don't talk. I'm promoting the fight."

When asked if he could reveal the venue of the fight, White said:
"I'll let you guys know when it's time. I'll let you know."
Alalshikh re-shared the video of White's comments on Instagram and, referring to White as "brother," he confirmed that White will promote the Crawford vs. Canelo fight:
"My brother Dana will promote this fight. It is the fight of Riyadh Season, and we have a deal with TKO to promote it and it will the biggest fight in boxing, and tomorrow I think I will tell the details and the platform and the place for this fight, me and Dana."

Dana White on Turki Alalshikh's shocking announcement: "I don't pay attention"
Turki Alalshikh's post on X, where he announced Sela as the only promoter of the Terrence Crawford vs. Saul 'Canelo Alvarez, led many to believe that Alalshikh and Dana White's relationship might have turned sour.
When asked if he knew how things unfolded over the last few weeks at the UFC 316 post-fight press conference, White responded:
I don't really know. We're at the UFC headquarters, I'm in my own little world, man. I don't pay attention to any of that. I know what we're doing. Doesn't matter to me."
He added:
"Sh*, I don't even remember the last time I talked to him. But we're good, very good."
