Don't expect Tyson Fury to go on a darkness retreat like his foe Anthony Joshua.

'AJ' recently made headlines by joining names such as Aaron Rodgers by going through with the practice. Over the last few years, several high-profile athletes, including former UFC champion Jiri Prochazka, have decided to do a darkness retreat.

The idea behind the practice is that one spends days in the darkness, with nothing but one's thoughts. While there are questions about whether the technique actually provides any sort of benefit is still up for debate, it seems that 'The Gypsy King' isn't a fan of it.

Speaking to Boxing Social in a recent interview, Tyson Fury was asked about Anthony Joshua's darkness retreat. 'The Gypsy King' jokingly called the technique unbelievable and took aim at the former champion in a different way.

Fury joked that Joshua was out in the cold, much like his previous comments about 'AJ' being out of title contention at the moment:

"Yeah [it's] unbelievable. I've got one thing to say: [He's] out in the cold! Frozen!"

Anthony Joshua reveals potential return on Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk

It turns out that Tyson Fury could be wrong and Anthony Joshua won't be out in the cold much longer.

'AJ' has spent the better part of the year in talks with Deontay Wilder and his team. The two were expected to clash in Saudi Arabia in December, but due to financial difficulties, talks seemingly stopped.

Instead, Eddie Hearn eyed the fight to happen in the U.K. or Las Vegas in early 2024. However, it seems that the former heavyweight champion has different plans. Speaking to Sky Sports this week, Joshua discussed his potential return against 'The Bronze Bomber':

“They want to put Usyk v Fury and Joshua v Wilder on the same night. When Fury gets through Ngannou, it is going to be late October going into November, so I doubt he will prepare for Usyk and then fight in December. It is too short. So, the next window will be in March or April and that is when the undisputed fight will happen. What we are being told is that they want to make it a mega-card.”
