Tyson Fury is scouting stadiums for boxing debut in Australia

Tyson Fury has revealed that he's looking to make his boxing debut in Australia later this year.

'The Gypsy King' has been out of the ring since a December trilogy bout with Derek Chisora. In that outing, Fury scored a third dominant victory over 'Del Boy'. This time, he retained his WBC Heavyweight title by tenth-round stoppage.

Following the win, the British star stayed in the ring for a face-off with Oleksandr Usyk. The two were eyeing an April 29th clash at Wembley Stadium, but that fight fell apart due to financial issues. However, the bout has since been revived, with a December target date in Saudi Arabia.

In the meantime, Tyson Fury is looking to possibly have a tune-up bout. The Brit, as well as his management team, have admitted that they're not entirely sure they'll find the right opponent for a summer return. However, Fury is intending to fight someone.

Furthermore, the heavyweight champion is looking to make his return in Australia. In a recent interview with Fox Sports, Fury revealed:

"I'm looking to do a fight here so I will be going up and down the country looking at different stadiums over the next few days. I'm 100% serious... I'm looking to fight some big fights this year and next year. We have an undisputed fight on the horizon for all the belts against Oleksandr Usyk... There's also other big fights, so we're working on some possibilities at the moment."

Who could Tyson Fury fight in Australia?

Tyson Fury wants to fight in the summer, but there are not many options.

It's worth noting that Oleksandr Usyk, who 'The Gpysy King' will likely fight in December, is booked. 'The Cat' is also attempting to fit in another bout before December, likely against Daniel Dubois.

In terms of other massive names, Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr. have already been ruled out for financial reasons. Furthermore, two other high-profile contenders, Joe Joyce and Zheili Zhang, are set to rematch later this year.

With that in mind, there are not many options left for Tyson Fury. However, there are a couple of other major names around, such as Otto Wallin, Jermaine Franklin, and even Dillian Whyte who remain unbooked.

Of course, that's also leaving out Francis Ngannou. 'The Predator' exited the UFC earlier this year with the intention of boxing, and has been routinely linked to the British star.
