UFC debutant Bo Nickal capped off an impressive debut with a win over Jamie Pickett and won the performance of the night in the process. The 27-year-old did exactly what he said he was going to do and made it a short night for Pickett following a submission win in the first round of the fight itself.
The second performance of the night went to Alexa Grasso for her emphatic win over Valentina Shevchenko. The Mexican wrote her name in the history books following a fourth-round submission win, earning herself an additional $50k.
The third and final performance of the night bonus went to Jon Jones. Returning to the octagon after a three-year hiatus, 'Bones' made it look surprisingly easy as he submitted Ciryl Gane with just two minutes into the fight to win the vacant heavyweight championship.
Fight of the night bonuses were also awarded to Shavkat Rakhmonov and Geoff Neal. Surprisingly, Neal wasn't eligible to earn the bonus after he failed to make weight for the bout. However, UFC President Dana White was quite impressed and decided to reward 'Handz of Steel' with the bonus anyway.
As far as their fight goes, the two put on an absolute war for the fans at UFC 285 before Shavkat Rakhmonov submitted Geoff Neal in the third round to extend his undefeated record to 17-0.
