UFC 287's official weigh-ins went ahead earlier today with only one fighter throughout the entire card missing weight. All the scheduled fights are expected to go ahead, however.

UFC 287's main-event features rivals Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya stepping into the octagon once again. 'Poatan' is the reigning middleweight champion, having previously defeated 'The Last Stylebender' at UFC 281. Their second fight under the UFC banner is all systems go as both Adesanya (184.5lb) and Pereira (185lb) stepped onto the scales to make weight and give fans their main event.

The co-main event features the returning Jorge Masvidal, who is taking on the No.5 ranked Gilbert Burns in a welterweight clash. The bout marks the end of 'Gamebred's year-long hiatus as he seeks to turn around a three-fight skid. Both men once again had no problems on the scale as 'Durinho' (170lb) and Masvidal (171lb) made weight without issue.

Elsewhere on the card, bantamweights Rob Font (135lb) and Adrian Yanez (135.5lb) are ready for Saturday night along with the 'Trailblazer' Kevin Holland (170lb), who takes on Santiago Ponzinibbio (171lb).

The only hiccup on what was otherwise a perfect day of weigh-ins was Christian Rodriguez (137lb). The 25-year-old was unable to drop the extra weight even after the hour extension, meaning he will forfeit 20% of his purse when he faces the prospect Raul Rosas Jr. (135lb) to kick off the main-card.

Israel Adesanya channels inner Eminem ahead of UFC 287 rematch against Alex Pereira

Israel Adesanya is vying to achieve what he hasn't before by defeating Alex Pereira in UFC 287's main-event. The pair have fought three times previously, with 'Poatan' holding two victories in kickboxing and one in MMA against the former champion.

Whilst sitting down at UFC 287's pre-fight presser, 'The Last Stylebender' claimed that this rematch against Pereira is his "8-mile moment", a reference to Eminem's Oscar-winning movie '8-Mile'. The Nigerian New Zealander is seeking payback against the heavy-hitting Brazilian and believes Saturday night will finally be his moment to achieve that.

Adesanya stated:

"This fight is my 8-mile moment. This is it. One more shot at this. I put everything on my back, everything in my power to do the worst thing to this man this weekend."

In response, Alex Pereira laughed off 'Izzy's comments:

"Who did this the past three fights? He said the same things... He makes me laugh."
