UFC Edmonton was headlined by an exciting five-round flyweight clash between Amir Albazi and former champion Brandon Moreno. The event took place on Nov. 2 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada.
Albazi walked into the fight with an impressive six-fight win streak that included a victory over Kai Kara-France. Moreno, on the other hand, was on a two-fight losing streak prior to his outing at UFC Edmonton.
Both fighters started the fight on a cautious note and were measured in their striking attacks.
In the second round, Moreno landed a head kick that appeared to hurt Albazi.
As the fight progressed, 'The Assassin Baby' continued to find success with his striking.
In the fifth round, Moreno landed a heavy left hand that wobbled 'The Prince'.
The fight lasted all 25 minutes and Moreno took home the victory via unanimous decision. The three judges scored the bout 49-46, 50-45 and 50-45 in favor of the Mexican.
