A UFC legend's coach recently shared his thoughts on Merab Dvalishvili's latest win over Sean O'Malley at UFC 316 and highlighted his greatest attribute. He noted that it has been a key factor in Dvalishvili's success and incredible performances.
Dvalishvili submitted O'Malley via north-south choke in the third round to successfully retain his bantamweight championship. It was a rematch of their Noche UFC encounter, which 'The Machine' won via unanimous decision. The Georgian wanted to prove a point in his rematch and did just that as he turned in another dominant performance over an improved 'Suga'.
In his latest Ask Me Anything on his YouTube channel, Georges St-Pierre's coach Firas Zahabi lavished praise on Dvalishvili's performance and his exceptional cardio.
Zahabi mentioned that Dvalishvili's cardio can't be replicated and that he has been gifted with a tool that has served as his greatest attribute inside the octagon. He said:

"[Dvalishvili's] cardio is unexplainable. There is no cardio routine known by any expert anywhere that does this... You can go and you can copy Merab's cardio routine, you can go and follow him every day, eat everything he eats, do everything he does. It won't give you that kind of cardio. I think it's genetic. You could improve your cardio, but this man has genetics that must be studied. We need to put him in a lab, we need to study him, something is way different."

Firas Zahabi says Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O'Malley were better prepared for their rematch
Firas Zahabi also believes that Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O'Malley appeared to be much better prepared for their rematch at UFC 316 and credited them by adding that it was noticeable in their respective performance.
In the aforementioned episode, Zahabi mentioned that both competitors showcased improvements, but highlighted Dvalishvili's cardio as the deciding factor:
"[Dvalishvili's] improved. He finished the fight, which is great for his career. I think O'Malley fought his heart out, looked improved. O'Malley went after it, he went for it, he didn't stop fighting for one second. I think both men made great strides. Both men were more prepared than they were in the first fight, it's just that Merab, he has too much cardio." [10:22]
