According to reports, the UFC could be making its way to Singapore this summer, with a Fight Night event reportedly being planned for August 26 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang.

Chris Presnell of MMA Ecosystem recently broke the news and stated that the event could host some rounds of the second installment of the Road to UFC tournament as well, Presnell said in a YouTube video:

"I can tell you that the UFC's targeting a return to Singapore on August 26 this year to the Singapore Indoor Stadium. That will be a Fight Night card and hopefully the middle rounds of the Road to UFC as well... We've already got one fight announced for that date, Rinya Nakamura vs. Fernie Garcia."

Presnell also revealed that the promotion hopes to visit China again this year and is looking to host an event in Shanghai in December. However, the organization has yet to confirm these events officially.

With Nakamura vs. Garcia already being confirmed for August 26, the Singapore card could potentially feature some very exciting bouts. With Chan Sung Jung 'The Korean Zombie' accepting Max Holloway's recent callout, the two featherweights could put on a spectacular show at the Fight Night event.

Considering Jiri Prochazka is still not fit to return, and Jan Blachowicz booked to face Alex Pereria, light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill could face a top-ranked contender like Magomed Ankalaev for his first title defense. Alternatively, a matchup between Petr Yan and Marlon Vera would give them both a chance to redeem their last losses.
