The weigh-ins weren't without complications, with the preliminary-card lightweight matchup between Trey Ogden and Manuel Torres being called off. After Ogden made weight on his end, it was reported that Torres was dealing with weight management problems and would not step on the scale.

This was the second fight on the San Antonio card to be canceled after Tamires Vidal pulled out of her scheduled fight against Hailey Cowan due to a medical issue. Cowan has now been assigned a fight against Jamey-Lyn Horth at UFC Vegas 72 on April 29.
