A welterweight contest between Neil Magny and Carlos Prates will headline UFC Vegas 100 later tonight (Nov. 9) at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Perennial welterweight contender Magny (29-13) has produced mixed results in recent years. He is 2-3 in his last five, most recently succumbing to a first-round TKO loss to Michael Morales.
Currently ranked No. 15 in the division, a win this weekend is a non-negotiable for the fighter if he is to keep his place in the rankings.
Prates, (20-6) meanwhile, is riding high in his career. The Dana White's Contender Series alum is undefeated in the UFC and is currently on a 10-fight win streak. A win against Magny will help him break into the rankings.
'The Nightmare' will head into the fight as a -800 favorite, with Magny as a +550 underdog.

UFC Vegas 100: Neil Magny vs. Carlos Prates
Round 1
Magny straight away tires to force a takedown. But as the fight goes to the ground, Prates gets top control. The Brazilian however lets his foe get back to his feet. Magny attempts a trip but fails to execute it.
However, the veteran goes straight back on a single leg and pins his opponent to the cage. As the pair separates, 'The Nightmare' connects with a short jab.
Shortly after, Magny gets sat down with an elbow, however, Prates lets his opponent get back up once more, reluctant to engage in a grappling exchange.
Prates is going ballistic, hunting for a finish. Magny ties up his opponent to disrupt the rhythm. As they separate again, 'The Nightmare' commits to a powerful left hand which puts Magny's lights out.
Prates is the victor.
